Hild by Nicola Griffith
5.0
I loved this book. It's been described as a cross between the Mists of Avalon and Wolf Hall, and I think that's perfect. It's such an amazing piece of descriptive fiction. They way Griffith writes about nature, and daily life is completely transporting. Plot-wise, it's definitely slow, but I think just allowing yourself to relax and let her take you to Hild's world is the way to read it. I completely loved this book, and I can't wait to read more!
