Do I Know You? by Austin Siegemund-Broka, Emily Wibberley
3.0
Do I Know You? is a second chance, marriage in crisis romance with Graham and Eliza who are gifted a romantic getaway to celebrate their 5 year anniversary. However due to the current disconnect in their marriage, they are stifled by the prospect of their week-long holiday and once at the resort, they find themselves being introduced by a unknowing hotel guest. So they decide to go along with it and create some new personas to spice up their relationship.
The writing was great, and I enjoyed the two POVs of the main characters. Sometimes I find with writing duos there is a disconnect with the writing style but overall it was very good. It was quite well-paced until the end which I thought was quite rushed, I think due to it being the end of holiday so the resolution had to be wrapped up quickly.
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy Eliza's character and her personality. I just couldn't connect with her and preferred Graham's POVs. There is a lot of miscommunication in this book, which I know isn't a trope everyone enjoys.
I had my hopes up for this marriage in crisis book however it didn't live up to my expectations. It was a good summer read but didn't delve deep enough into their relationship issues in my opinion.
⭐⭐⭐ 3/5
