The Housemaid's Secret is the continuation of Millie's story and career in "housekeeping". I am glad that we carry on her story, and have characters from the first book too, but a large side-plot to the story is her new romance with Brock, which I personally didn't enjoy.
In terms of the thriller and plot, again like book #1, I didn't see the twists and turns coming. Part 2 was absolutely crazy! It is so fast paced, it was hard to put it down. The characters were well done and the conclusion was insane but so clever.
I don't think for me it quite lived up to book #1, but I have rated them both 4 stars overall. I am looking forward to the release of the third book, which is currently scheduled for release in June 2024.
