just like magic is a fun, silly, goofy story of bettie who accidentally summoned a holiday spirit named “hall” and it’s such a wholesome christmas read that will make you laugh and cry all at the same time.

this book definitely cheered me up in the times where i feel at my most lowest and as always sarah hogle’s writing continues to impress me. this is one of my anticipated reads and i’m so glad it met my expectations and perhaps even more with the amount of humour and love that was poured into the book.

this short review definitely doesn’t do the book justice as i am down with a bad headache at the moment and it is considerably very late at night and so before i head to bed i just wanna say: pick up this book. now or for christmas idc. i love it and it’s simply so wholesome and i guarantee it will be a sunshine to your midnight rain. speaking of, midnight rain is definitely bettie and hall’s song. thank you. goodnight. love you.
