I was directed to Rowling's essay explaining her transphobic tweets, which I've been completely in the fog about, as I haven't followed Rowling's social media or read any of her published work since DH (Not that JKR was a saint before this or something). I find her comments ignorant and lacking in the clear understanding of the right the trans-community and their allies are fighting for. I do not stand for selective feministic ideas. I decided to re-read the hp series because I've dealing with my own challenges regarding my mental health, and I was recommended to consume "familiar and feel-good content" by a therapist. HP was always that for me, and I've been living in the bubble of that excuse for so long). My comfort isn't worth the hate and lack of humanity shown to the trans-community on a daily basis. I've made my donations to three organizations, and I wanted to share them here, as I've seen other people do in the review of other HP books.
