might be the best book i read this year! the plot and world-building are great. but what made this books stand out to me was how well the author captures self-loathing and internalized transphobia and misogyny. it's one of those books that punches you in the guts because it's so well-written, and that makes me reluctant to recommend it to friends: i want them to appreciate how good the book is, but i don't want them to go on this emotional roller coaster.
ps. also, the sex in this book is so hot.
