Informative but tinged with racism, or at any rate "both sides-ism" about forced labour of the local population, which amounts to the same. No, forcing the locals to work for your empire isnt made better simply because you also build roads and infrastructure to take the fruits of that labour away and incidentally the locals may also use them. You also cannot say "surely if it were all black people would have died or revolted" before talking about guerrilla warfare literally an hour later...
Also apparently there are only men in indonesia until the 1990s. Wonder how they managed...
