Hi I LOVE THIS BOOK and will be recommending it to everyone I know for a while!! It’s really phenomenal on audiobook and I can’t say how much I’ve enjoyed listening to this over the last few weeks.

This book had so many gut wrenching moments. There were parts that were so appalling and so unjust that I was just ANGRY for all these fictional characters. I don’t cry very often when reading books, but this series has done me in. The heartbreaking moments are paired with amazing action scenes, sweet romances, and close bonds between dragons and riders. The metals test and subsequent gold/silver/bronze/iron citizen classification is such an interesting idea, and leads to so many questions, conflicts, and tough decisions for the main characters. I mean seriously, Atreus SUCKS.

The side characters are developed really well, and their stories add so much to the world building and story line. It’s a solid cast of characters and I found myself getting attached to every single one of the Guardians (yes, even Power).

I honestly am totally addicted to this series and can’t wait to start book 3 tomorrow!
