This was the easiest, most immediate 5 star read! I was completely hooked by the story as soon as it began, it was impossible to put this book down!

I loved everything about the idea of EOs, near-death experiences, the lovable “villain” VS the so very hatable “hero”, and Mitch, my beloved. I already have the second book checked out and I can’t wait to start it :)

Vicious alternates between past (10 years ago) and present, following Victor on his path to exact revenge on his ex-best-friend-turned-enemy, Eli. I was incredibly impressed by how easy to read this book was despite the frequent skipping around the timeline, but I absolutely loved it. I love exploring the theme of superhero VS supervillain and how both can be “right” and “wrong” and Vicious explores that perfectly from the perspectives of both morally gray antiheroes. This series is going to be a favorite of mine!
