The Roughest Draft by Austin Siegemund-Broka, Emily Wibberley
3.0
*spoilers*
This was difficult to rate. I enjoyed the book, great writing. Good premise.
Where it fell short for me was the agent boyfriend - he seemed unrealistically a douchebag. It didn’t make sense for him to only want to push Katrina for the sake of making her a famous author no matter what. And then at the very end get jealous of Nathan. It felt incredibly forced and for that I deducted this a whole star
I love jumping back and forth in timelines but the big reveal was so anti climatic ???? Like what actually happened ? Not much? Katrina got a bit scared of commitment and then randomly she hated Nathan. It was weird! I thought something bad happened for them not to talk for 4 years. Deducted a whole star for this too.
Was going to deduct a star for co writers cause I was like what this is so weird when does this ever happen lol and then I realised that a wife and husband actually wrote this book together and ngl it has helped me like this book more. That’s CUTE!
Would recommend but wouldn’t force someone to read
