The Making of Friedrich Nietzsche by Daniel Blue
informative
inspiring
medium-paced
4.0
I was reluctant to start reading this, as I doubted I would enjoy reading in English about persons and concepts I think in German. It turns out, the outsider perspective is what I enjoyed most about this book, I learned a great deal about Nietzsches youth, and also about how Bildung appears to non Germans.
I'm not an expert on the topic, but the biography seemed well researched and sourced, and it was tremendously readable.
