I’m sorry to say but I have to DNF this arc at 25%.
I am the one who requested it, so it’s that much sadder for me because the blurb sounded like something I could really get into. And it’s not the way the story is going or the plot itself that has me putting it down.
It’s the prose. I cannot get into the authors writing style, and there are just some phrases that really kind of threw me off. I really try not to DNF arcs but this one just wasn’t landing with me. I gave it two stars for being interesting, but I couldn’t bring myself to give more since the language feels forced and I lost the desire to read it.
