Love Notes by Christina C. Jones

5.0

This was my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it!! I listened to it on audio and it was beautiful. The story, voice actors, and culture was so rich and magical in this book that I didn’t want it to end.

This story starts off with Jules moving back to her home town and in with her favorite cousin to get her photography studio/business off the ground. On her first night home, her cousin invites her out to have a good time, and boy does she have a time. While she’s out she meets a fine man name Troy who takes her home and gives her all the loving she needs. But what happens when a simple one night stand, no strings attach encounter turns out to be the man who works across the street to her new studio? Can that one night simply stay in the past?

Listen!!!! This book was so freaking good!!!! I suggest everyone listen to it on audio. You will not be disappointed!!! And can we talk about the culture, the depth, and the love in this book?!? From the struggles of dealing with finding out where you come from, the issues of dealing with family that didn’t stick up for you when you needed it them the most, the battles of staying true to yourself and following your dreams, to finally breaking down and going to a therapist to get the help you need. This book touched on so many great topics that everyone can take something from this book and feel seen, heard, valued, and loved.
