I am going to start off by saying I have read the series that this is a spin off from (Redemption Hills) and I think I am going to love this one so much more (but shhh don’t tell the author that 😏 )

I absolutely loved seeing glimpses of certain characters from Redemption Hills! I squealed when the book started off with River tattooing Trent!

I absolutely loved and devoured this book! I was pulled in from the start of this book with how River and Charleigh meet. The way A.L Jackson writes will have you feeling like you are in the moment with these characters feeling everything they are feeling when they are in proximity to each other.

The relationship between Charleigh and River was everything! These two needed each other and they didn’t even know how much they needed each other and how their lives are already intertwined with each other.

I adored River’s son in this book! He was so full of energy, life and love you couldn’t help but fall in love with him instantly. I loved his relationship with every single character in this book and Charleigh.

My heart broke for Charleigh and everything she has gone through. Despite Charleigh’s trauma she is so strong and just wants to live and stop running. River, his friends and his sister all help with Charleigh and show her how she was meant to find them and Moonlit Ridge.

I loved the communication between Charleigh and River and the way River chose to go about getting to know Charleigh because he didn’t want to push her out of her comfort zone. I also appreciated when River knew exactly where he wanted his relationship to go with Charleigh and he communicated it with her and showed her so there was no 3rd act breakup.

This book does have twists and turns and will keep you on your toes or the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going on with Charleigh and her being on the run.

I honestly loved all the side characters in this book and can not wait to get their stories in my hand.

Thank you AL Jackson for the ARC of this book.
