First, I need to get my emotions under control. I’ve been fangirling for the last 4 hours, I mean this book is just so damn awesome.



Okay, I think I’m stable enough to write down my thoughts now.

I’ve had this on my TBR and Kindle for a good while now, so, when I woke at 4am, staving for a new book to read, I choose Aristotle and I just couldn’t put my kindle down. I read it all in one sitting (what is food? Food is for the weak).

Reading this masterpiece made me fall in love with reading all over again (not that I fell out of love). I felt so many emotions. I think I cried over 5 times and died at least twice.

This book broke my heart and fixed it back together like it had never happened.

The writing was just so beautiful.



Now, on to the amazing characters. I loved Aristotle, I loved Dante, I loved their parents, I loved Legs and I loved Gina and Susie.

The story was told in Aristotle’s POV and I loved it. His train of thought was just so poetic. I love his character, I loved all the emotions he felt, I loved how he bottled them all up, because if he didn’t the story wouldn’t be so damn good. I loved how he knew Dante was pretty much the opposite of him. I loved how angry he was. I loved how damaged he was. I just loved him!

He was such an interesting character to read and fall in love with. The way he interacted with all the other characters was so fun to read, especially the way he interacted with his mother, I loved the funny dialogues between them.

I loved getting to know what he thought about things, the way he dealt with how his parents acted like his brother no longer existed.

But you know what I loved above all? His relationship with Dante. The way their friendship grew and how he was just so loyal him, his love for Dante was so pure and real and I loved getting read as the realisation sinked into him.

"Dante had this look in his face. He looked like an angel and all I wanted to do was put my fist through his jaw I couldn’t stand my cruelty."

I don’t think anyone could ever read this book and not love Dante. There needs to be a club called “Dante must be Protected“. He is such a sweetheart, with his wisecracking mouth. He pretty much had no filter with his emotions and thoughts, which made him the opposite of Aristotle. I loved that about him. I liked that he was so open with his thoughts and feelings for Aristotle. I loved how much he loved his parents and wasn’t afraid to show it. Man, I just loved him! My sweet baby Dante.

Dante sure knew to break my heart though. Killing me once wasn’t enough for him, he had to do it twice. My sweet baby Dante. Oh, how much I love you.

The story got really heated and interesting in the summer that Aristotle was turning 17. The plot got thicken, questions were answered, Bonds became unbreakable.

Benjamin did a really awesome job on this book and it will go down as one of my all time favourites.

I’d recommend this book to those who like coming of age stories with complicated characters that are loveable and a poetic read.
