In a Dark, Dark Room: And Other Scary Stories by Alvin Schwartz

I found the audio on Youtube and listened to the entire thing. I hadn't rembered how young this book skewed. This book scared me so much as a kid. The Pirate one and one with the sweater really freaked me out if I thought about them too hard. I had a fear of dark rooms and graveyards for years after reading this. But The Green Ribbon made me fear the book itself. I couldn't touch it sometimes. The image of her head on floor just scared me to bits and I started thinking the book itself was evil and scary.
