This was such a delicious & devious page turner! It had fun Desperate Housewives vibes which I loved! Their running definitely took a back seat to all the secrets and drama of their lives!

The Running Club by Ali Lowe follows 4 women; Carole, Lottie, Freya & Shelby, who are members of the Esperance Running Club. They have also been friends (or fremenies?) for most of their lives and all live in the wealthy community of Esperance where it’s all about how big you house is, what label your dress is and where your kids go to school. But beneath the surface of the shiny façade, there are long held secrets and lies that come to head when one of the women is murdered.

By far, this is the best domestic thriller I’ve read in ages!

Told from the alternating women’s POV’s & flashbacks to their shared teenage years, it really gave the story a lot of depth & an understanding of the motives of each character. I did guess early on who was going to be murdered but had no idea who the killer would be until it was revealed! & even then, the twists kept coming! Ali Lowe did a fantastic job of crafting a story with so much mystery & suspense, I just had to keep turning pages to find out all the answers!

If you haven’t read this one yet & love your domestic thrillers with a twist, I highly recommend checking this one out!
