Fantastic voice! Jade and her people are so rich and relatable!
Ms. Watson does an incredible job! The storytelling of life and growing up is super! Beautiful window/mirror perspective builder. I also appreciated how the setting was Portland; while it could be anywhere, "seeing" these characters in Portland made it better than any other "big city."
I love how embedded throughout are powerful life lessons about candid honesty and self-advocacy.
Would make an incredible teen lit bookclub book.

And as an aside, imo, there is absolutely NO reason at all, in any realm, that this book should be banned!

(Would make a good October read.)
