What an incredible debut novel!! I was a sobbing mess post chapter 29. I think this book should be ready everyone, not just YA readers. It highlighted so many brutal aspects of the Syrian civil war. Zoulfa didn’t shy away from showing the reader the horrors of civil war and how the trauma it inflicts on all involved. The romance itself was a slow burn, but this didn’t bother me, I found it incredibly beautiful. A new fav! Bts army forever
