Little Miss Perfect by Julia Kent

4 stars — I was needing something light and easy, like a palate cleanser for a book hangover, and this fit the bill. I haven’t read the rest of the series yet, and I can imagine that if I never did, this story would be unsatisfying…but it sets up that story fairly well in that we get a glimpse of what Mallory and Will’s relationship (or lack thereof) was like.
Mallory was deliciously awkward. I kind of thought from the blurb there was going to be more angst/bullying, but there wasn’t.
I appreciated seeing these glimpses of Will — his facade vs his real self. It intrigued me.
And it was interesting to see the differences in their lives.
All in all great as a prequel, probably not as fun if you really never read more.
