This book needed an editor. That is not to say that I didn't love it! Give me humans on alien planets any day! But lordy, this book needed one more pass, especially by a copy editor. The amount of passive language and unnecessary adverbs kind of drove me crazy. I'm sure writing improves as the books go on, so I will keep reading!
