Formerly Known as Food: How the Industrial Food System Is Changing Our Minds, Bodies, and Culture by Kristin Lawless

4.0

This is a very detailed description of the problem of the industrial food system. Lawless shares a lot of data from evidence-based studies and I found the information both interesting and terrifying. The book gets a bit preachy at times and Lawless really wants to drive home her point so it gets a bit repetitive at times as well. However, overall, it was a very compelling read. The author does not offer many solutions, and among the few she does offer, some are more realistic than others. Nonetheless, she brings up some interesting ideas.
