I don’t even know where to start with this book. This book is emotional, real, painful, heartwarming, it’s everything you need it to be and so much more. 

As I was reading this book, I caught myself giggling because Lyle was so much like my husband, and things he would say were so similar. I caught myself tearing up several times and having to stave off those tears to finish a chapter. Brian was everything that Lizzie needed. But also it was good to see her have that deep set fight with herself of “healing too quickly”. 

These characters, the story, and everything I was feeling while reading was so relatable. 

This book includes best friends to lovers, trauma, mental health, single parent, childhood home, childhood best friend to lovers. It was perfection.
