This was a powerful read, and an important one too in my opinion.
The story was very sad because of how realistic it is. Instead of the sex talk, they are given the "What to do when confronted with the police" talk.
No one should have to live like this and it's so heartbreaking to know that this is the world we live in. That things like this happen all the time.
We are all human beings, why can't we treat everyone like it?!
Ugh. So sad.
I listened to this on audio and it was great, I feel weird saying I had a good time with it considering the content, but I think the story was good and the narrator did an awesome job too.
I couldn't even imagine going through what Star did.
