Can You See Me? by Rebecca Westcott, Libby Scott

This is a terrific YA novel in general, and specifically because it really captures the essence of what autism is like for a child growing up and for her family. What's wonderful about this book is that it is co-authored by someone on the spectrum and her diary entries, which are interspersed throughout, give readers insight into how someone with autism thinks and feels.
