It's very RARE for me to 5 star every book in a series (EVEN if its just 2) BUT baby.. did it happen here! Andi Jaxon & J.R. Gray DID NOT MISS with The Retreat! It was LITERALLY EVERYTHING.

From Colin calling Owen "husband" to Owen calling him "princess". To those HEART WRENCHING moments of VULNERABILITY that made me tear up & BAWL... because I felt SEEN! & THAT was powerful!

The SMUT, the POSESSIVENESS, even the UGLY moments where you wanted to beat the SHIT out of Owen's parents, had me DEVOURING this book in ONE sitting. Their chemistry, their push & pull, even if they COMPLETE OPPOSITES they just worked SO fuckin well and my gawddd was it PALPABLE AF.
