There were a handful of lyrical phrases that stood out to me but I do NOT understand the adulation for this book. While I didn't hate it I wouldn't recommend it or read it again. It was confusing and just when I got used to the pattern of how she jumped around she completely changed how she did it. I also don't think she told a story. I realize it's a memoir but she could have spent a little more time tying it together even within the structure she used,that is, I don't need her to put the events in order. In the end I just really didn't CARE about the character/narrator.
