I really liked the concept of this and I thought the ending was realistic. The main character is not at all likeable, which is intentional, but I really had a hard time figuring out why that was, especially because their wife is portrayed as being really wonderful.  Not sure that storyline was really necessary, though it didn’t feel entirely out of place.
