the way the characters talk to each other is so unnatural.
i got déjà-vu and realized this went viral for being a bad booktok book ☠️ that “‘you are the perfect amount of you’ ‘that’s the nicest thing i’ve ever heard’” bit
i am ok with cringe but the fact that i’d seen it before was too much.

And despite all that criticism, it was exactly what I needed to read at the moment: a wholesome story with an HEA.
