This is going to be an amazing spin off series.
We get to revisit with Grey,Rhen,Harper and others. I'm very impressed with the side we get to see of Rhen. Rhen has my favorite seen in this book. He has always been my favorite of the Cursebreaker Series. While I did not particularly agree with the ending of that series, this book allows me to see more into it and why.

We meet more characters in this series. The POV is Jax, Callyn, and Tycho. Callyn's ignorance toward magic, at the beginning, is frustrating to read. However, I think having those three POVs is perfect.

This book has me ready for the next one! I truly love Emberfall and Syhl Shallow. I will take any opportunity to return there!
