Originally I gave this a 4 star, but I’m gonna say its a 3.5

One of the strongest points of the book was how Tessa Bailey gave the characters the room to work through their own traumas and issues. However, that came with an immediate disappointment with their initial characterizations - I was bored of Julian and annoyed with Halle’s constant “I’m a mess!!”

Hot take - the smut is SPICY but feels VERY out of character… take that how you will.

Overall, I didn’t love how quickly everything wrapped at the end, but I still enjoyed my time with this!
