Purity in Death by J.D. Robb

4.0

This is #15 in the Eve Dallas/Roarke/Peabody In Death series. I’ve been reading this series pretty slowly because it’s great, but if you read them too close together, they get redundant. It does seem like she’s finally doing less repeating of the same things over and over. There comes a point when you’re in a series and if you don’t know it by now, you should just go back and start from an earlier book. Anyway. These are police procedurals in the near future and this one involves a puritanical vigilante group that has figured out a way to create a computer virus that infects people, which is very frightening and probably a possibility at some point in time. Eve is definitely continuing her journey of opening up to people. She is the main focus of this volume and the others are more background. 15 was great and I feel like I’m out of my In Death slump and ready to tackle #16 very soon!
