Did I just stay up till 1:30am to finish this book?
-Yes
Did I cry my eyes out?
-Yes, first time in a while a book has made me ugly cry...
Was I on the edge of my bed shouting (quietly) at this book?
-Did I ever!
Was that one amazing fight scene (how dare you kill him @rebeccayarros )?
-My heart was in my throat.
What a twist and cliffhanger?
-When the hell is book 2 coming!?
5 gazillion stars for Fourth Wing. This book right here, has top spot for the best book I've read this year.
From start to finish I was absorbed into everything. Violet, Rhiannon, Xaden, Liam oh gosh did I love them for all different reasons. Violet however has a huge chunk of my heart. I have never had a book character reflect on who I am as a person. I'm small, I am physically weak, I am breakable but like Violet I have the strength to keep on going. I have never rooted for someone so much as I have do her! She is a bad ass, and Xaden has pretty much trumped Rhysand for me!
The world building, the dragons! I absolutely love that Yarros made the dragons a proper character and we have their dialogue and feelings. I never been a dragon fan in fantasy, but I am a HUGE fan now! The magic, the corruption, the utter arseholes-that Jack.. I hated Aiden from get go (oops)! This book just had everything and more. This has been one intense but thrilling ride. I now need to wait for pay day so I can buy an actual copy, as this book will be read and read over and over.
If you still haven't read Fourth Wing...do so.
