The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai

5.0

This book is absolutely beautiful. It’s a slow burn that will leave you satisfied (for getting to know these characters), while also feeling heartbroken for the things they experience and suffer through.

I had a feeling about this book when I first saw it and Makkai doesn’t disappoint. I don’t know that a book has ever actually made me cry. I’ve been close, but this one made it happen.

I’m going to miss Yale. I’ll be carrying this book around for years, I can feel it.
