This book was so good, I haven’t read historical fantasy in so long but this book instantly pulled me in. The writing was so easy to follow along and the world building and descriptive portrait of Egypt that the author gives was beautiful. I loved the mysteries and the history learning about cleopatra and the utterly beautiful slow burn romance between Inez and whit. The betrayal was heartbreaking and the horrible twist at the end made me so mad. I can’t wait for book two!
