As someone who grew up reading and loving Laura Ingalls Wilder, when I saw in the description for this book that the main character also loves Laura and then gets to go live her own pioneer life, I was sold. I loved the lessons and adventures in this book and how charity and hard work work hand in hand. I also am a sucker for historical fiction based on something I didn’t know about.
