You know when you put off a book and after you read it you wonder why in the world did I put it off for so long? That’s how I felt with Slewfoot. After finishing this wonderful book I put it down and I thought to myself “if I hit a major book slump after this it’ll be worth it”. Slewfoot is the dark folktale I’ve been aching for my whole life. It was full of rich descriptions, elevated characters and a story that unfolded at the perfect pace. If you’re looking for a deeply entrancing tale with horror elements, you need to read Slewfoot. This book burrowed deep within me and it’s hit my favourites shelf. This is one of those books I ached to pick back up after putting it down and thoughts of the story would pull at me throughout the day. I’m so so glad I read this quirky atmospheric fantasy horror.
Thank you @tornightfire for sending a copy my way, this is officially one of my fave books of 2022, 5✨!
