Picked this up after reading Victor LaValle's The Ballad of Black Tom and read that his book was in conversation with this one.
The story definitely shows the racism and fear of the outsiders that Lovecraft is known for. Did like the occult stuff, but the attribution to the foreigner is pretty blatant.
