The Zodiac Trials by Michele Khalil
4.0
This book was originally published in October 2020. It’s being re-released again with a new look. This is book one of a trilogy.
The story is set in Middle Eastern background. As the title suggests, it revolves around zodiac signs and the existence of the 13th zodiac sign.
I liked how the author had put in trigger warnings in her book. I find this helpful, as I am being prepared mentally. Thank you for this. The author also have included the characteristics of the zodiac signs which I found to be somewhat true.
The plot is also intriguing. Think Harry Potter crashing Divergent. Splash of magic and action sequences. Talking about the characters, I think I may be crushing over Firas (the male lead). He is charismatic, opinionated and well his eyes…speaks. ☺️ Whereas the female lead is portrayed as equally strong and a bit of a rebel. Love their cute interactions throughout the novel.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. Looking forward for book 2 and 3 soon. So if you are into Middle Eastern background, loves fantasy, clean romance and fancies action, this is for you.
Thank you Michele for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.
