A Favor for a Favor by Helena Hunting

5.0

OK ok ok sooooooo hellooooo Bishop. He very well may be my new favorite. I love love love a grump and he was definitely a grump but he's soft too! Cinnamon roll soft. I giggled every time he antagonized Stevie because it gave him so much joy to see her react. Stevie is such a fun female character. From her sass, colorful hair, to her strength as a person. I loved getting to know her.

I enjoyed the conflict between Stevie and Bishop, especially the "we aren't supposed to be together because of work stuff". That's one of my favorite conflicts between a couple! The will they won't they had me anticipating every page turn. I laughed a lot, which I usually expect from a Helena Hunting book, and the steam was another level. I love when a couple struggles to stay away from one another because when they finally collide it is explosive. A Favor for a Favor had the perfect level of slow burn.

I’m so excited to read the next in this series but this one is going to be hard to beat.
