The author does a masterful job of weaving the facts of incredible research into a story that teaches... no, it goes beyond teaching because they make it so personal and intimate yet without judgement, condemnation, or excuse - more respect, acceptance, and truth.... it is powerful!
This is heavy and will sit with me a long time - but in a good way... a way that hopefully makes me a better person, ally, human.
