“I need you to come to my sisters wedding in Indonesia and convincingly play the part of my very loving wife”
|Thoughts|
She was highly oblivious, at least at the beginning, doesn’t even recognise or even know the full name of the man she married.
“It’s surreal to be here with her after all this time…yet here I am having to improvise an intricate plan b at the eleventh hour with a muppet in human form as my co conspirator”
No marriage of convenience is complete with the pinnacle of tension, one bed.
The family dynamic is meshed up yet engaging and makes you really feel for West.
“But would your sibling choose you? You know they wouldn’t. Maybe they love you but they’re broken”
They love you. But they’re broken. They will choose money every time”
I am writing this review several months after finishing the book. I do remember enjoying it but it’s not one that I absolutely fell in love with.
