The Last War We Ever Fought by Wendy Heiss

"Pity me, I beg. Pity me and take it one day. Or hate me. Do it because you hate me. Do it to get rid of me if you can’t find it in your heart to pity me. "

I liked it a lot, the writing, the development, and the characters, everything was great. I loved the ending so much it reminded me of six deaths of saints which is one of my favorite short stories.

the dialogues didn't feel forced and I liked how we got to know all the things and the ending... where do I even start with it

"That I’ve found you in every lifetime. In every lifetime I’ve watched you die."
