Book: Last Girl Ghosted by Lisa Unger
Format Read: Audiobook (~13 hours, 30 minutes long)
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️ (2/5)
Quick Take Review (TL;DR)
Last Girl Ghosted starts strong with an intriguing premise and engaging build-up, but the narrative falls flat after the pivotal "ghosting" occurs. Repetitive storytelling and forced flashbacks detracted from the plot, making the execution feel lackluster despite its initial potential.

I had high hopes for Last Girl Ghosted, having enjoyed Lisa Unger's work in the past, but this one fell short for me. While the premise was intriguing, the execution left much to be desired. The story started strong, with an engaging build-up leading to the "ghosting" moment, but everything became flat and repetitive afterward.
Although I initially understood Wren's reactions following the ghosting, her drawn-out responses and the forced flashbacks felt contrived. These elements detracted from the narrative and made the latter half of the book feel disconnected from its promising start. Ultimately, the premise had potential, but the delivery failed to capture my interest.
