This is the third Stephen King I've read and like I've said after the other two I don't want to read anymore of his novels.
This wasn't particularly thrilling or suspenseful, it was (dare I say) boring??
I didn't like any of the characters, I had almost no reason to root for Paul, Annie was far more interesting as a character and I would've loved more insight into her background or even a few chapters on her inner monologue.
One thing about Stephen King is he writes great gore but that's not necessarily my preferred genre of horror - I like physcological more so. I'm not interested in his misogyny and racism which greatly takes away me liking his books. Why he decided in the first 5 pages to talk so much about r*pe when he in actuality the MC is being given CPR
It was a couple hundred pages too long, it got fairly good and suspenseful at the end but then also fizzled out.
I'm grumpy
