The Beast's Beauty by R. Phoenix
4.0
As always, this author knows how to break their characters and does a great job at exploring the human mind in extreme conditions. I'm in awe at everything they write and this isn't an exception.
The plot is simple. A once-famous guy is scarred due to a fire, he kidnaps another guy for his beauty, and keeps him in his house to train him to be his good puppy.
It was terrifying and intriguing. For a book that is centered in one place with only the character's minds at play, this was engaging, and I actually like the lack of sex scenes, focused more on the conditioning side. Starting the second part right away.
