Meh. This felt like a “beach episode” of an anime. A little character development, some romance angst, and a lot of water. With the tense risks of absolute evil and a corrupt human kingdom at their doorstep, the gang skipping off to do these trials for 75% of the poor felt like poor timing? And like,.. she just gets the bragging rights of finishing them? Probably one of my least favorite romances in fantasy… I think this is where the series and I part ways.
