This book was hard for me to rate. The story started off so slow, I almost DNFd the book
i thought to writing was dense and pretentious. Then after about 100 pages the story started popping off. This was a really dark, bleak story. The was some really graphic depictions of child death that I struggled with. But I got hooked and was excited to see where the story went. Most of the Earthseed stuff was annoying to me. I liked the survivalist aspects of the story.
