Sisters of the Crimson Vine by P.L. McMillan

dark mysterious fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? Plot
  • Diverse cast of characters? No

3.0

Overall, this book was a bit of a disappointment. There were definitely some cool bits, like how physically strong the sisters are and the details of the Mother's sacrifice to the Eternal Children.

However, I had some gripes with the story's execution. The main priest lacked empathy and seemed like a cartoonish villain. I also wasn't a fan of John's relationship with Sister Helena or that he
just escapes a cosmic entity and ... drives away?
