Just Like You by Nick Hornby

3.0

I think this is a very well-intentioned novel about an interracial, age gap relationship and it's enjoyable enough but I didn't find the voice of either character terribly vivid or believable. It was definitely a story I could relate to, because I would have no qualms about dating someone 10 or even 15 years younger than myself or dating someone from another race/culture. I love that this is a story about a relationship with huge differences that works out. However there is not much that happens in the story, and it doesn't go very deeply into any of the issues it brings up.
